Thames Skin Clinic specialises in Acne and AviClear, ( medical programmes and facial with HydraFacial) is popular for the of acne and is recommended in our medical management plans.
The first step would be to get you in for an initial consultation with our doctor, so they are able to a thorough initial skin assessment, give a medical opinion on your condition and then prepare a tailored plan for you. This a skin scanner analysis with our Observ machine.

I would like to invite you to book into the clinic for a skin consultation. This is when our highly trained and prescribing nurse can get to know you better and your concerns with you. As with all treatments, we work with the and create a personal treatment plan for you.
A brief of some of the treatments we have on offer are as follows:
• Obagi products – these are prescription products that are so effective in the treatment of acne. The two main in the range are the Daily Care Foaming Cleanser and Pore Therapy each containing acid which pores and helps remove the bacteria which causes acne.
• Chemical Peels – there are several peels suitable for acne skin types. During consultation you will be which is the best one for your particular skin condition.
• IPL/Laser Acne – The bacteria in the skin is successfully destroyed and the acne is leaving you with smooth, fresh, looking skin. The laser will at the same time stimulate collagen production which will enable the skin to heal with less scarring.
• Laser Resurfacing & Scar Reduction – this is done with a SmartXide CO2 Fractional DOT Laser.
• Medical Dermal Roller – this improves scar tissue and can also be done at home.
This is a very large and subject and affects people at different times in their lives. Acne cannot be “cured” but can be controlled.
